Hello! I am searching high and low for an environmentally friendly wet room sealant to replace Casco AquaSeal in a ceiling angle in a housing project - with references from another construction project. For example, Tec7 X-Seal.
Technical requirements for the sealant:
- BBV (should be paintable but can be left unpainted)
- Pass 2- and 5-year inspection within warranty (no yellowing; no mold growth, no cracking)
Environmental requirements:
- Miljöbyggnad 13 Silver/14 Silver (absence of candidate substances/phase-out substances/endocrine-disrupting substances EDS Cat 1 and Cat 2 and public eBVD or assessment Recommended/Accepted in BVB/SundaHus)
Casco AquaSeal contains candidate substances, which is why I do not want to approve it in the project. I have now found Tec7 X-Seal which seems to meet all the requirements, but the tiler wants references from someone who has used the product and can attest to its long-term performance. Does anyone know and can compare these two? I understand that we need to provide light during curing or choose a color other than white to avoid the sealant yellowing.
