The chimney is not particularly beautiful and needs repairing in the joints.
For that, a mortar is to be used if I understand correctly, but I can't find mortar anywhere.
Is it okay to use something else instead?
There is plaster mortar, it's the same that you use to plaster and join bricks together. It has worked perfectly on my chimney. But it's not something you use inside the chimney!
