We have a house from 1963 with 2 out of 4 walls constructed as follows:
Cross-section diagram of a wall construction from 1963, showing materials like facade brick, air gap, insulation, and other components with labels.
And the remaining two with panel instead of brick and air gap.

We have removed the inner porous fiberboard (Treetex) and plan to mount gypsum boards on all walls instead. The paper behind, YAC 400/150, has some holes in it and will get more as the electrical work is done. Should we replace it? I assume it should be replaced with something similar. What alternatives are there?

Should be able to switch to plastic wrap?
