Hello,

I have a storage shed that the previous owner didn't take good care of. I believe the most urgent thing to fix is the board at the bottom resting against the concrete block, as it has rotted away. However, I'm not quite sure how to go about replacing it. Can I lift the building with a regular car jack you use when changing a car tire? How can I lift it in the best way so the building/boards don't get damaged?

  • Rotten wooden board resting on concrete blocks below deteriorated siding of an outdoor shed. Leaves scattered on the wooden floor in foreground.
  • Rotted wooden board at bottom of shed, resting on cinder block, near a wooden ramp and overgrown plants.
  • A rotting wooden board at the bottom of a shed with visible lecablock foundation, surrounded by grass and plants.
  • Gray wooden shed with rusted lower board resting on concrete block, surrounded by greenery. Visible rot at the bottom of the door. Tree branch in the foreground.
Hello,

I'm facing almost exactly the same dilemma. I see it was a few years ago that you wrote, how did you resolve it in the end?

Suspect the same, but worth a shot. Thinking that some action should have been taken by now 😅
