Hello! I'm considering replacing a floor structure made of blåbetong. We've just started checking radon levels to see if that's the issue. A constant radon measurement right at a handful of stone blocks has gone from zero to 100 bq in one day.
This has come up during the renovation of the kitchen, and now a quarter of the ground floor is empty, and the floor structure is exposed. I think we could quite easily break up and empty the living room, with a question mark around a fireplace. And we were also planning to renovate the bathroom soon, so all options are on the table right now.
Now to the question. We're considering replacing the floor structure between the ground floor and the basement. It feels doable. It looks like the floor structure is supported by beams from the exterior walls to a load-bearing wall inside the house. What do you think? Is this doable? Worth doing? Or should we forget about it and install an FTX system and try to get the ventilation going as best as possible?

I have bought a radon meter and am currently measuring a large handful of stone blocks down in the basement, hoping this will give me an indication. It doesn't look promising right now. It's increasing by about 10 bq per hour. It's 120 bq now. But maybe it's worth pausing the renovation and leaving the kitchen completely empty for at least a month to perform the tests?
Still, I am a bit curious about what my options are. If it's not feasible to replace the beams, it doesn't matter.
