I'm renovating the bathroom in the summer cottage and have torn out all the wall coverings and the floor. It turned out that half of the existing "bathroom" is an extension. Two walls at an angle are new and meet the original building. Unfortunately, when the new exterior walls were installed, not much effort was put into the footings. As it is now, it mostly resembles what was done in old cottages where they propped up with stones in the corners under the beam.

Under the stud wall, there are now a couple of hollow concrete blocks and some wood scraps to create tension between the ground and the wall. Some of these "footings" are quite tilted and everything looks like... Well, like hell, to be frank. Since the walls are well-made, I would prefer to just install new footings under the existing wall. Does anyone think this is possible and how best to proceed? The ground underneath consists of a fairly thin layer of soil over bedrock.

All right!

Dig away the soil and cast new plinths.
