Hello, I discovered a big problem when I started scraping paint off my entrance. One of the pillars to the balcony is rotten and needs to be replaced, so I thought I'd replace both since the other one was also a bit soft, but not as bad as this one.

I wonder how you would do it?

I'm considering buying a prop to lift it up. Also, building up the pillar so we don't have the same problem again in a few years.

I will also see what it costs to outsource this since I also got a price from a company to replace the roof, so if we could do this at the same time if it isn't too expensive. A balcony with a damaged wooden column on an entrance porch, alongside a leaning ladder and steps, indicating renovation work needed. Rotten pillar with damaged wood at the base of a balcony, showing decay and need for replacement to address structural concerns.

hi a little update, replaced the pillars myself with the help of 4 stämp.

I bought the pillars locally at a Bolist store, their dimensions were 175x175.

I also glued 1cm high plastic pieces to the slab using Tec7 so the new pillars wouldn't stand directly on it. Secured the top part with long construction screws 220mm.
