Does anyone have experience with or can estimate what the cost would be to replace an approximately 0.4m thick and approximately 1.5m long brick wall with something like a beam? That is, craftsman and materials. It is not completely solid, however, as there is air in the middle of the wall.
Assuming it's technically feasible, of course.

Fun start to a thread.. Yes, the best thing for you is to ask around at different places what the beam should cost.
However, you need to see for yourself what solutions are available to you, steel, brick, or glulam beam. Check it out and then you call around.
