One last point. If the center beam is placed under the ridges without cutting them, the material is utilized much better, but there may not be enough space.

Yes, that would also significantly reduce the amount of work, but then the ceiling height would suffer and reduce the possibility of parking cars underneath. So it is preferably avoided if possible.

Yes, there are two additional pillars in the center of the terrace (prepared for a balcony to the upstairs bedroom, but the construction was abandoned by the previous owner). However, there is no beam there. These can support the middle beam.

I realized that I forgot these posts and therefore didn't draw them on the sketch.
