I have taken down a masonry lightweight concrete wall in the kitchen. In the ceiling and on the wall, a gap of 2-4cm deep and about 15cm wide appeared that I want to fill in.

The house is from the 1930s and the existing ceiling (which is to be patched up) has a plaster layer of about 4cm that is reinforced with something resembling reed straws/stakes. Above the plaster layer, there is a (non-load-bearing) layer of boards.

I have bought plaster that works excellently to fill the wall gap, but on the ceiling, I can't get it to adhere to the wood / VP pipes (which are newly installed in the gap). I can get smaller "clumps" to stick, but most of the plaster just falls to the floor again. I assume I need to reinforce or do something that allows the plaster to adhere.

Tips/ideas are very welcome!

Gypsym natural plaster and a plaster net/plastering net. The plaster is sticky and sticks much easier than mortar. Additionally, you can shape it by sanding afterwards.
