Hello,
I am thinking of reinforcing my existing roof trusses, which are 120x38, with a 220x45 and at the same time moving the support legs. I think that these two operations should be able to cancel each other out. That is, the reinforcement of the upper arm means that the extended span does not affect the durability.
I have been in contact with a truss company, but they think it is too difficult to calculate and instead quote on completely new trusses to be placed next to the old ones... Hmm... feels unnecessarily complicated to me. :S
Anyone have any feedback on the "drawings" below?

  • Blueprint sketch of a truss design showing measurements and angles for modifying roof trusses, with a detailed plan for reinforcement and relocation of supports.
  • Blueprint showing roof truss dimensions and layout, including measurements for beams and support structures. Labels in Swedish, with contact info at top.
  • Illustration of roof truss modifications with detailed instructions: saddle existing beams, move supports, and add bracing to improve structural integrity.
