Hello!

I'm looking for some tips on how to get a ceiling that works!

The idea is to open up a 70s kitchen to connect with the living room.

But today there's some textured wallpaper in the kitchen. Between the interior walls, there is no ceiling, the living room has ceiling panels.

If I change the ceiling, I need to replace it in the hall and corridor to the bedrooms. That's not going to be relevant yet.

I don't think the ceiling is primarily important, but I still want a solution that works and doesn't cost too much in terms of time and money.

Anyone have any ideas?

Break off with beams where the walls used to be?

That's what I would have done - built a small box.
