Hello.
I'm currently renovating our kitchen and plan to remove some smaller wall partitions and open up a larger wall (green).
For the larger wall, I have received recommendations from a structural engineer on what beam and pillars to use.
Now to my question.
As seen on the drawing, there is currently a laminated beam (2700mm) supported by 3x450mm studs.
But after those studs, there is a small wall I wish to remove which is 40cm long.
In the wall, there are two studs to which the drywall is screwed, and those two studs are positioned against the laminated beam.
Should I contact someone before removing that wall, could those two studs provide any function for the beam's load-bearing and utilization?
What should be removed is marked in red on the pictures.
