Remove glued wardrobe in rental apartment, and put it back later?
I spoke with the landlord and he said that the wardrobe cannot be removed. This is despite the apartment being scheduled for a complete renovation in a year. He also didn't know whether the wardrobes will be torn down completely during the renovation or just repainted, but I still wasn't given permission to take them down.D Dublin said:

It could get interesting if the landlord eventually needs to come into the apartment...E east war said:I spoke to the landlord and he said the closet cannot be removed. "No, I haven't removed any closets"
When I lived in an apartment, I removed a wardrobe. It wasn't glued but rather worse, as it was nailed, likely into the concrete wall. It was hell to remove; I hung my whole body on the hammer and hit it. Eventually, one nail at a time came loose, and with it, a large chunk of concrete came off from each nail.... Luckily, I was going to paint anyway, so I had to fill those up. The tenant who came after me didn't want the wardrobe either, so I didn't have to reinstall it.
