How do you who have done it before?
I'm going to set up a wall with a beam to take up the load from two roof trusses on the newly cast section. The new door and possibly sidelights will be there.
The roof trusses can be discerned.
As a novice home builder, I wonder how it is usually done.
Do you build the wall with a sill, studs, beam, and top plate and then raise it? Then you would have to raise the roof trusses a little so that they don't get stuck.
Or do you attach the sill and studs separately and then force the beam in place, disregarding the top plate or whatever it's called?
Or is it done differently?

Here's how I did it.
First, I set the sill.
With the help of studs, I measured where the wall plate would land directly above the sill.
Tapped in the notched studs. Toenailed studs into the sill.
Tapped in the support beams. Made sure everything was plumb. Screwed together.
Used a jack and a stud to apply some pressure to the rafters to be able to force in the support beams.
