Is it okay to cast directly against a wood façade?
They are supposed to come and cast tomorrow.

They're supposed to come and cast tomorrow as planned.
Absolutely not, they should cut the panel so that the casting goes all the way to the existing foundation!

The new slab will be higher than the existing ones, which is perhaps why they left it. Behind the wall is a storage room, and the new section will also be storage, both heated. But it feels a bit sketchy, it's a 40-year-old wood facade with some semi-rotted ends.

We don't see that in the picture, do we, we don't know how far down the panel extends?

Not exactly sure, I would guess the panel extends a few cm below the existing slab. So this slab will be 5-10cm higher.

Not at all certain, that might be the case, but let's hope they have considered the height!

The height of the new plate and the floor in the old storage will be the same, but the old one has a raised joist on the concrete plate.

Looks like they have jacked out the form about 10-12 cm. Why have they also left space for a vot against the existing storage but not reinforced that part?
Formwork cutout near blue shed wall, with rebar on concrete slab; section for footing saved but unreinforced.

It is reinforced now. Yes, the slab will lie about 10cm against the existing facade.

Is the idea that the existing wall will be opened up when the new section is finished?

Yes, but then it's okay anyway, I'm not that knowledgeable. Just thought it seemed a bit odd. But thinking that they have to remove the knutbrädorna? Otherwise, they will basically never be able to be replaced.

No, it will be an interior wall, so we'll put some paneling on it.

Wood must not be in contact with concrete as it will rot, so they either need to cut the panel or remove it.

Cut the facade boards or remove everything and shape with something that withstands moisture, do not cast against wood.
