Hi,
I'm going to close up a wall that is partially open.
Maybe a dumb question, but I don't have to use drywall if I'm going to cover it with grooved plywood, right?
It should be enough with OSB behind it (to be able to attach wall objects)?

Disadvantages with my plan?

No, drywall is for getting a nice surface for wallpapering/painting or for fire protection.
There's probably no disadvantage, but it's unnecessary.
