does it work to use weather-resistant plywood as an exterior panel if I'm using ecological insulation? I'm thinking that it's waterproof and maybe the house wouldn't be able to "breathe"... is it enough to have an air gap inside the plywood exterior panel? Or do I also need an exterior panel that breathes?
I plan to insulate with flax insulation (isolina boards) with an air barrier on the inside and a windproof fabric on the outside inside the air gap. The reason I want to use plywood is the low weight - I'm building a small "house on wheels" and the chassis can take a maximum of 2-3 tons.
If this doesn't work together with weather-resistant plywood, is there a good and weight-wise light alternative? Can untreated plywood sheets like construction plyfa be used and impregnated with linseed oil maybe? Feels like it would rot but you never know...
