Plug question...

When I took down the awning that was on the house, the holes behind did not contain the usual plugs that I had expected but rather looked like someone had injected silicone which had then "hardened" and screwed into it. Does anyone know if this is some kind of "liquid plug" or what could it be?

Could be a kemankare.

Probably kemankare as mentioned. Are you going to set up a new awning? If so, it's probably a good idea to get something similar to use then.
