Hello!

I'm considering building a stucco house. I assume then that I should also have a stucco garage.

Or can you combine a stucco house with a wooden garage in a nice way, any suggested photos?

Our salesperson suggests that we buy the garage ourselves, anyone know where to find one?

When you are going to build a new house with a plastered facade, it will probably look strange to squeeze in a garage with a wooden facade.

The best thing is to talk to the building contractor who is going to prepare your house.

But why doesn't the house supplier want to sell you a garage since this would probably be the cheapest option with a total sum for everything!

Well, he points out a rule that says a house must be placed 4.5m from the property line. And with an attached garage, the house becomes too long.

He suggests buying a separate garage myself in a kit, which would be a wooden version since I can't do "plastering." He thinks this is a common combination.

Strangely, in other parts of the municipality, they only have a 1m distance to the property line.

If you have the neighbor's permission (in writing), you can build closer than 4.5 meters unless there is a special detailed plan where you are building. Check with the municipality's urban planning office to see what applies to your area.

We have a plastered house and are going to build a detached plastered garage. We are not professionals at plastering, so we will build the garage and then let a company come and fix the plaster.
