I need tips/advice on how we can gypsum behind the radiator. Of course, it would be best to remove it, but it would also be nice to avoid doing that..
I can screw at the top and bottom, so one thought is to make two U pieces for the radiator brackets, glue with PL400 or something else recommended and screw them in. However, there won't be any screws in the seam behind the radiator.
Will it work, or is it doomed to fail?
How much does a plumber charge to empty and disconnect the radiator?
Just turn off the system and release the pressure, then unscrew the radiator and the brackets.
Apply plaster to the wall, paint or whatever you're going to do. Then screw everything back on (maybe replace with new parts if you want). Turn the water back on and you might need to bleed it a bit.
You can easily handle it yourself👍

Preferably have a plug on hand and turn off the circulation pump.
Close the return
Close the thermostat
Loosen the nut at the return, bowl and towels underneath
Loosen the nut at the thermostat
Seems possible to do yourself. However, I hadn't planned on plastering behind the radiator brackets because then I'd extend the radiator from the wall.
