We were considering having the plumber install copper pipes in the bathroom, without any chrome or similar. According to him, the pipe clamps only come in white plastic and chrome. Both seem completely wrong. Is there a way to attach the pipes to the wall so I can avoid the chrome or white plastic?

Copper cover and leaf screw.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone have a picture of how it looks when mounted? I can't find anything when I search.

In lack of anything else, I can show my old, ugly, poorly painted white sweeps.

However, they should be able to screw in closer to the wall. Mine are for the radiator circuit.

Clamps and set screws are excellent for keeping pipes in place, but it will look very "industrial." Also, keep in mind that copper pipes are shiny and nice when new, but they soon tarnish and become oxidized and ugly.

I thought that was called patina (and was nice) :D

We can say that in this case, beauty definitely lies in the eye of the beholder.
