Still day 1, late into the night!

  • Construction work at night featuring stacked wooden logs and machinery.
Covered the "kista" with printed, leftover wood (old sandboxes).

  • Wooden panels made from recycled pressure-treated wood from old sandboxes, used to clad a structure, are illuminated in a workshop setting.
Since we decorated it (halfway), it was time to put it in place!

  • An excavator positions a partially constructed wooden structure by a rocky lakeside.
Once in place, we filled it with stone. Then I placed laminated beams on top, but had to prop up quite a bit to get it level since I couldn't get the box where I wanted it.
The bottom sloped more than I thought.
So, what I timbered "conically" became almost perpendicular outward, so to speak!

More timber....
Actually looks a bit small in this picture!

Pause again, sitting outside on the future dock!

  • A can of beer is held in the foreground; a fire burns on the shore with trees and a barn in the background, viewed from an unfinished dock.
Ready, "just" decking and fencing left!

  • Wooden dock structure partially built over water, awaiting decking and railing, with a scenic lake and forested hills in the background.
Guests arrive in the middle of "trallskruvandet"

  • Guests arriving at a dock construction site with screws visible.
Clear, just fine-tuning left!

  • Roughly carved wooden piece on a dock, awaiting final touches.
A stone chest is considered to be altering the beach itself, so you must have permission for that, otherwise you might have to restore it. Hardly a building permit though, as it's about the shoreline protection rules.

Floating docks, however, are a completely different matter.
