Pergola with "jalousie" roof, calculate distance, angle?
I have a façade facing directly east and get the sun in the bedroom from around 7 in the morning in the summer. I'm planning to build a pergola with posts (200x200) and 195x45 or 220x45 beams. The pergola will be about 4 x 8m.
Now I'm thinking about an angled louvered roof... I considered dividing it into sections 2 meters wide (4 sections) and would like to use something like 145x28 as the lumber for the louvers.
The question then is, to get shade all day against the façade, what angle and distance between the planks?
I haven't thought about how to attach the louvers, but I'll probably screw a rule they stand on and cut the planks at an angle as "tracks."

There are infinitely many options to choose from. Depending on which angle you choose, you'll simply have different distances.
It ultimately becomes a matter of preference. It depends, for example, on how you want it to look when you're outside, do you want to be able to see the sky or not? However, the sun will always have the possibility to shine under the roof just when it's rising, unless you have neighbors or something else obscuring it.
