Hi,

I need advice regarding a roof structure for our intended pergola. Today, there is a framework of 95x95 timber. Three posts with three beams attached to the house + two beams between the posts. The beams stretch about 4.35m from the post to the house wall. Between the posts, it's about 4 meters.

My plan is to complement these sections with an additional 95x95 beam so that the "C/C" measurements on these become approximately 2m. Between the beams, the plan is to screw in 45x95 joists with about 6cm spacing in between. That means quite a few joists will be added, along with the added weight to the structure.

I mainly want to ensure that the structure doesn't settle or that the span, especially of the beams towards the wall, is not too long. It won't be possible to add additional posts to these. Can anyone help me calculate this?

Thanks in advance.
