Hello, I'm looking for some reviews on various flooring options in the budget segment, from Bauhaus, Byggmax, etc. 50-250 kr/m2 is probably what I'm looking for. Parquet or laminate is what's intended; carpet is not relevant. If you have experiences regarding the quality of joints, evenness, durability, etc., I'm all ears...
I bought one of the cheaper laminate floors from Bauhaus last summer. I was going to use it for a bedroom in the summer cottage. But this floor was completely impossible to lay. The boards were not of even width! Crooked! I had to exchange it for a brand-name floor, and then the laying went smoothly.

Do you remember the brand? I know there are good low-cost options too, I laid one in my daughter's bedroom a couple of years ago, can't remember the brand, but I bought it at byggmax, (khärrs wasn't good enough for her, it had to be black flooring)
I should come up with a reasonable suggestion for a gentleman who is somewhere around 60, no children or dogs, so durability isn't a huge concern, although you should be able to spill a bit of coffee or cut through to the back with your shoes on. It's more the joints and evenness that I'm a bit curious about. Kitchen (the room where the coffee maker is, essentially), living room, bedroom.

Tested the byggmax parquet for 199:-/sqm, a bit tricky to lay but on the other hand, I'm not an experienced floor layer so that might have been the reason. I thought it turned out even and good, and the durability of parquet is significantly better than laminate and feels warmer and more solid in my opinion!
