Hi,

I am new to this building stuff and have made an incredible mistake. I've bought a right-hinged door that will now open in the wrong direction from the wall! The door won't even be able to open halfway!

The door is this http://www.kompanjonen.se/produkter/innerdorr-dooria---8x21-30db-hh-ljusgra, is there a way to modify the door so it becomes left-hinged? This is incredibly stressful for me since exchanging the door is not an option. Are there any good alternatives for doing this? My budget is really tight right now, so it can't be very expensive.

Incredibly grateful for all help, the whole project seems to be crushed because of this now.

Incredibly embarrassing which just shows my ignorance when it comes to this stuff. I was mistaken this morning, and it was apparently not a problem at all. I sincerely apologize. Mod can feel free to remove this thread.

It might be helpful for someone else to know that it's just a matter of reversing the hinges and on many doors, you don't even need to do that.....

But can the door you showed really change?

Suspect that TS confused right-hinged/left-hinged with inward-opening/outward-opening.

Most interior doors are neither right/left-hinged nor inward/outward opening; you can install them as you wish.

Yes, with snap hinges it's no problem, but with this one it gets worse.

Hello, unfortunately, that door is not reversible, that type of hinge is manufactured both right and left. Try to replace it if possible.

Yes, I saw that now, it must be some surplus from the eighties...

Isn't it the same thing? Or maybe I don't understand what you mean :)

Yes, but I suspected that was what the OP didn't realize at first and thought he had to mount the door opening the wrong way.
