Painting 20-year-old concrete tiles.
Have applied Grön fri to remove moss from my 20-year-old concrete tile roof from the brand Örebropannan. I'm a bit unsure how the roof has been treated before, but the surface seems soft, so it seems like tar has been applied. Since the surface seems quite rough, the rainwater clings to the surface. I'm considering taking a coarse brush in a few weeks to remove all the growth. After that, I would like to paint over the roof tiles with black paint that withstands both sun and rain. Is there any special paint that can be purchased from a regular store and that doesn't peel off? Someone suggested I should apply wax instead of paint, as it gives an unsightly surface after a few years. Does anyone have suggestions for paint or preferably some type of wax that makes the surface dirt and water-repellent? I want to do the job myself as I want to lift and treat the entire top surface and not just the visible part of the roof tile.
