Oops... I mean -oh, how annoying, I cut the drywall mirrored. Are the back and front side the same
I once installed a gypsum board backwards in a place where unevenness didn't matter. Luckily, because it wasn't smooth on the backside. It's not certain that the same applies to your board. But check carefully.
Yes, almost close, the back has a paper that is slightly less durable for puttying compared to the front, but it can still be outwardly facing. The edge-to-edge aspect is a bit different; the front has a putty joint, so you need to taper in about 2-3 cm so the putty has something to grip onto, and also putty broadly about 30 cm to trick the eye into thinking it's smooth and even. If you're going to paint, putty about 40 cm, there need to be long slopes there. With wallpaper, the eye is tricked a bit more.
The solution is already described in the thread, but join the thread where we boast about Murphy and things that don't go as planned or our journey to new heights

I'm wondering the same thing. I have two triangles that need plastering, & I thought I could use the leftover piece from the first triangle for the second mirrored triangle. But now I realize you get two identical triangles from one board. However, if I mount one of them with the backside out, it will fit. As long as there’s no problem with the screwing (the paper might not be as flexible), or the filling of the screw heads, or the painting 🤔
I don't have time to get a new board 😆

It's not very high-tech with drywall panels. There's no problem screwing them in with the backside out. There's no problem with plastering either. But it might not be as smooth, so you'll have to plaster more. And the paint adheres without any problem.
