Hello! Got the first roof beam up on the support beams for the carport. But where the roof beam rests on the support beam, should I have some moisture protection under the beam there? Now that there isn't a roof yet, the support beam gets very wet during the day. And the roof beams are untreated.
No, it is not necessary. The beams absorb water extremely slowly on that surface, and additionally, the amount of water/moisture that can end up there is extremely small.
