Thinking of building some trusses... and using nail plates, there are quite a few different plates to choose from.
Which brands/manufacturers are used the most.. or are the best?
Are they available at all building supply stores, or where do you buy them?
Cost...?

I have bought most of the nail plates from Byggmax. They have an outstandingly low price.
But what kind of trusses are you going to make?
If they are large trusses, it's hardly worth making them yourself. I made them myself for the shed and garage but bought from a truss factory for the house.
The "hourly rate" wasn't very good for the trusses for the garage. But at least it wasn't a loss-making deal.

They are for the summer cottage, I was thinking about being ambitious and making them myself, but maybe it's not a good idea. I have no idea how much work it is or how long it takes, I was thinking of it as a vacation project.
The ones sitting there now seem to be something homemade, some props of rough-sawn timber and some nails, so I thought if it has held up all these years, it shouldn't be too hard to build some of my own.
I've gathered information and bought the "Takstolsboken," and now I'm starting to realize that making trusses is quite a science.

Trusses must be CE marked these days. I bought ready-made trusses for my house and garage for 1100:- each including shipping. I also got a better price on hatches from the same factory than I could get anywhere else!
Sure, that doesn't apply if you're building your own. There are countless opinions on making your own trusses, fun to read. You probably don't save anything by making them yourself, I thought it would be fun and that you'd surely learn something from it. If it doesn't go well, I guess I'll just have to order some
