Hello

We have put up a raw plank wall as a feature in the bedroom. The planks were first primed and then installed. After that, it was painted twice. Then it cracked quite a bit, but I regretted the color choice and repainted it with 2 layers of paint, and then almost all the gaps disappeared. What to do? Have I ruined our plank wall? I want large gaps...

Using a router, you should be able to mill the grooves. With the help of a guide rail or board that you screw into the wall, you get support for the router. Otherwise, there is a high risk that it will become crooked.

Oh, that sounds tough. Do you think there's any chance it will tear more now after about 1 1/2 months?

The chance increases, if the wood was not completely dry when you put it up.

Now it has burst beautifully! Good things come to those who wait... :)
