I'm going to build a new inner wall on an existing wall.
How do I move out electrical outlets and a light switch so they come level with the new wall?

  • Light switch on a textured wall beside wooden beam, indicating renovation for a thicker inner wall.
Then I need to write off and put a kortling/regel around where it should be?

No, not if there's a plastic electrical box, then the extension rings are screwed directly into the existing box. Remove the button and check what kind of box is there.

  • Wall light switch installation with exposed wiring, partially embedded in a textured wall.
You need "förhöjningsring" and longer screw, M3. No strange gadgets in the electrical industry.

If you are unlucky, there is no slack on the cables for them to be enough. Then you may need to pull new wires. Or extend them. There is plenty of space for that with extension rings. Looks like it was at least 50 years ago since someone was last there.

The electrician is coming this week and will look at some other things, he might as well take a glance at this too.
