I need to build something to hang up my outdoor unit of the heat pump.
As it is now, there are old metal brackets that can't hold it up.
And after the house drainage, it's now hanging in an old ratchet strap.

I was thinking of building something with leftover pressure-treated planks.

Does anyone have tips on construction? I'm not quite sure what to look for?

This is how it looks now.. Taikon, I know..

  • Outdoor unit of air source heat pump hung by old straps on red wooden wall, lacking stable support.
  • Outdoor unit of a heat pump strapped with a blue ratchet strap, mounted on old metal brackets against a red wooden wall.
Wooden facade? Pour a small slab with a good slope away from the house. Maybe 20-30 cm high.. That's what I would do anyway, to avoid the risk of a lot of noise through the wall and such.

Yep, it should be a leg stand, it's much better. You can buy ready-made ones that are adjustable. You don't even need to cast, just lay some garden slabs with a slight outward slope...

Oh what great tips, thank you all!
It'll be a jula-console on stone slabs!
