I'm thinking about what type of trim/molding to use for framing around the patio door and the inside of a portal we built. Is there some kind of pre-lacquered thinner board that can be used and cut to the right width?
I'm not referring to the molding around the actual door itself.

What is the designation in the specialized trade?
A smyg is used when you need to "Sala" out from the door/window to the wall, and then possibly put molding. A smyg has a slightly rounded edge on one side and a slightly angled edge on the other. To cover an opening/portal, an allprofil is used, which has slightly rounded edges on both sides.
