Hello!

I need to build a relatively temporary outbuilding on my farm. I have almost free access to wood and foam insulation.

Can you build some form of foundation with foam insulation, then tenotätplast, and a 45mm thick pine floor?

It's just going to be a small hall of 40m2 containing some woodworking machines for a few years. That's why I want it to be moisture-free.

Best regards, Carl Magnus

What shall the walls rest on?

Cast edge or stone wall. I think. 😛

You cannot place a bjälklag on the sill?

Absolutely, I have 75x220 lying around that I could use.

I mostly just want to know how I should construct it so that it won't rot or allow moisture into the building.

If you will have any heat there, you could make a heated foundation, i.e., essentially line the inside of the foundation wall and the ground with cellplast.
