Thank you for the response, but shouldn't it be possible to build a jig somehow? I would really like to use my mill...
Whether something is square or not is just a matter of definition. In this case, it's about how small the radius in the corners has to be for us to perceive it as a corner and not a radius. You can always mill with a tool with a very small radius and create a hole that can be considered square. Even that thing in Tiggres' link has a radius in the corner, albeit very small.
well, I have one myself...andersmc said:
it's a chisel with a perfect 90-degree angle, not a milling cutter... but you use it with the router then place it in the corner and whack with a hammer and you have a perfect 90-degree angle...
Well, I understood that it was some kind of punch. But if you put it under a magnifying glass you can see that even that corner has a radius. Maybe 0.1mm or so, but it is a radius. There is nothing that is "exactly 90°".
Actually thought of adding something similarandersmc said:
what's good about it compared to a chisel is that it reduces cracking that can occur (where it cracks further from where the chisel ends...
I mostly use a chisel myself... but that little rascal is not bad to have lying around....
