Mansard roof open to ridge in attefall house
I have been thinking about building an Attefall house where I want to utilize the maximum building height to furnish a loft. I am drawn to the shape of a mansard roof and believe it would provide the most ceiling height (disregarding flat/half-flat roofs which I dislike). However, when I look at the general construction of a mansard roof, you often lose some space at the ridge and on the sides of the truss construction. Is it possible to create such a construction to offer more space in height and on the sides?
This is what a classic construction looks like http://www.byggahus.se/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=35452&stc=1&d=1263979973
Is there a generally accepted construction, perhaps with laminated beams and possibly some pillars, that eliminates the truss construction typical in a classic roof? I have read about some of the constructions, but it's not fresh in my memory; I know at least that the loads need to be distributed and supported elsewhere.
The inspiration is this:

But these models do not show how the truss solution would work theoretically..

My guess is that this is one of the Attefallshus that "stands directly on the ground" so that it works with 4 m. And it's probably not insulated at all... If I'm wrong, I would love to see a construction drawing that I believe you can "buy" from some of those proposals.
Here is a guy who built a cabin on wheels with a mansard roof in the way you describe:

Here are pictures of the roof truss itself: http://norrvaggen.blogspot.se/2013/05/takstolar-till-huset-pa-hjul.html
