I'm planning to lower the ceiling in the hallway and install spotlights. I'm thinking of placing a frame around the hallway with 45mm steel studs and then laying 2x2 wood across the hallway to attach the plasterboard to. That should turn out pretty well, right? The hallway is about 1300x3200mm.
I'm planning to use nail plugs to attach the steel studs to the wall. What dimension is suitable, and what spacing should I use between them?
Do you need to have 30cc in the ceiling, or can the spacing between the studs be a bit wider?
I have a small problem with one of the walls; there's only about 1700mm of wall to attach to, and then the stud is hanging in the air. Should I attach the remaining part to the ceiling? Or how is it done?

Haven't decided if I should go with LED or halogen, so 5cm or 10cm lowering.
I'm including a picture so you can see. The custom-built wardrobe doesn't align with the wall in the hallway, there's a difference of about 5-6cm. So if you attach the rule to the wall in the hallway, there's nothing to attach it to where the wardrobe is. If I use LED and only lower 5cm, I can bolt it to the ceiling, but with halogen, it becomes more difficult.
