Hi!

I'm looking for a bracket for a loft ladder that leans against a post.

The bracket should make it possible for the loft ladder to slide/roll left-right easily.
Maybe some type of bearing?

Grateful for tips.

Wooden loft ladder leaning on a track above white doors, suggesting a sliding mechanism. Room includes a quilt-covered bed and a window with natural light.

Thanks, just looked at it on an American site! :)

However, I can't find anyone who has it in stock in Sweden.

Maybe I should attempt a DIY build? Hmm.. tips?:oops:

Thank you very much.

The ladder can stand directly on the floor and only sit in a track at the top. The downside is that you have to lift the ladder a little when moving it, but on the other hand, it becomes a bit more stable. But if it's not a ladder you need to pull back and forth all day, then that's sufficient.

I was thinking about having wheels at the bottom, without any track at the top.

What you say is probably better, but it might still be unstable when coming down from the loft. Especially the first few steps down.

Hmm..

Thanks!!

Just wheels at the bottom sounds dangerous. With a rail at the top, it is secure and cannot possibly fall.

I know that some kitchen companies have ladders..

Give Kvänum a call and see if they sell hardware separately.

Wouldn't it be wobbly then? That it moves left/right.

Another type of track; [link]
If you plan to make something yourself ... :)
That looks good! I'll take a look at it! Thanks!!

Kvänum seems to have just drilled a hole in the ladder that the pole goes through, which is smart too!

Hmm. I'll draw up some suggestions shortly. :D Thanks!

How did it go with this?
