We are renovating the deck, where there is a drip board/drip list at the bottom along all the railing sides. One of these is completely rotten, so I'm going to replace it. I thought this was standard lumber you could pick up at the lumberyard, but no one knows what I'm talking about, probably because I'm not using the right technical term...!? In cross-section, it's rhombus-shaped so that water can easily run off. Like in the picture. This board is 70 mm high and about 20 thick. I've searched for "drip list" and "drainage list" and indeed found a zillion hits on similar things, but nothing that looks exactly like the lumber...
Does anyone know what it's called? Or is custom sawing necessary?
Thanks for the answers!
When you only have a miter saw, it's a bit of a hassle to cut something like this yourself. And I really thought it was a standard, it feels like there should be a pretty big need for this type of molding...
But I'll ask the lumber yard to cut one like this.
Absolutely. A circular saw will be added later this year. Unfortunately, there's no room for a saw table, the miter saw already takes up its share of space...
