Hello
We have a terrace 8m x 3.5m (width x depth) with an overhanging roof covering the entire terrace. The roof is supported by 4 wooden posts which are located at the outermost edge of the "width side." Unfortunately, these need to be replaced due to age/moisture and the wood has begun to deteriorate. The plan is to use some screw jacks as temporary posts and replace the wooden posts one by one, but I'm wondering... Should there be a certain classification for the timber used for the given wooden posts to ensure that the strength is sufficient?
Thank you for your help!
