Hello!
I've recently got a house (my first). My intention is to either open up or take down the wall adjacent to the living room.
The house is a single-story Gullringshus built in '89. I've read in another thread that the trusses are only supported by the outer walls. But when I, as an average person, look at the drawing, it appears to be load-bearing. So the question is, is this wall load-bearing or not?

The wall is most likely not load-bearing. The trusses are of the truss type and free-spanning between the outer walls. In the first floor plan, there is a dashed line through the two bedrooms that are angled. This line probably indicates the presence of a beam that the trusses rest on. You should be able to see this beam in the ceiling of these rooms.
Thank you very much for a quick and detailed response! Haven't moved in yet, will check the beam then.J justusandersson said:The wall is most likely not load-bearing.
