I connection with a renovation, I plan to tear down a wall in the apartment. If I interpret the drawings correctly, the wall does not seem to be load-bearing. Attached are the drawings and related documentation about the different walls. According to the drawing, the wall I want to remove is a plattvägg. Does anyone know what that might be? The house was built in the 50s. I have marked the wall to be demolished in red. What do you think? Is it load-bearing or not?

  • Floor plan of an apartment from the 1950s with a non-load-bearing wall marked in red. The plan includes rooms labeled in Swedish and material specifications.
  • Description of apartment renovation plan, detailing various wall types and materials, including non-load-bearing inner walls and 50s construction details.
The wall is not load-bearing, that can be certain. The technical description states that load-bearing partitions are made of concrete blocks. "mellanväggsplattor" are likely lightweight concrete elements.
