Hello!
I'm working in the basement. We're in the process of tearing out all organic material. The floor, of course, will be torn out as well. The previous owners of the house removed part of a wall in the basement. Then they discovered it was load-bearing, so they supported it with a wooden column. We are now bringing in a mason to rebuild the wall to its original state. We want to tear down and prepare for the mason's work. He will set up a brace while he works. Can we remove all the studs and wood except for the dark column that is hidden there?
