Hello. We are thinking of tearing down a small wall in the hallway on the upper floor to make it a bit more open. Is there any danger in tearing it down? We are planning to have a pillar at the end up towards the ceiling. Wooden interior wall in hallway planned for removal, showing exposed wooden planks and partial damage, part of a renovation project discussion. A partially removed wooden wall in a hallway, revealing patterned wallpaper behind. The renovation project aims to create more open space.

That wall doesn't look load-bearing, but with old houses, you never know :)

Interior with a removed wall, showing exposed wooden studs and a small worktable with tools. Ceiling beam visible to the left. this is how it looks now that the wall is gone. It was probably not load-bearing considering how crooked all the planks were. The truss also extends about 40cm to the left of where the wall was.
