I need to attach various fittings and other items to Leca before they are plastered in. PL400 would solve the problem if I could press the fitting, which is not possible.

Is there a similar robust adhesive like PL400 that also expands slightly before it cures? Think of expanding concrete but as a urethane adhesive. The fittings are metal and can handle any pressure from the expanding adhesive.

Fischer has a two-component compound, fill & fix. It is intended to replace plugs in porous materials like leca. Described in the latest issue of Gör Det Själv.

can't you fix it so it comes under pressure. With PL400 you don't need any significant pressure, just so it doesn't fall off or move during drying.

On a few occasions, I have fixed similar problems by attaching wooden strips with double-sided tape around what is to be glued, then another strip over the object and a couple of wedges to put the object under pressure. However, it hasn't been Leca, so I don't know how well the tape would stick to Leca.

In principle, shouldn't you be able to screw the fittings into leca until the glue has cured?
