I'm organizing the basement and in this project, I'm putting up a wall to separate a room. I'm using steel tracks/studs + drywall. Wooden studs will be used at the door frame. The floor will have tiles directly on the slab, no underfloor heating.
My question is, should I frame the wall before I lay the tiles or vice versa? I see benefits with both methods and ideally, I would prefer to frame the wall first, but something inside me says it's better to start with the floor...
Those of you who have read this far, what do you say?

I would probably set the wall first. If you set the tiles first, there's always a risk that the tiles will crack when you attach the floor track for the wall studs. Additionally, I like the feeling of having different flooring for different rooms. When I've put up my own interior walls, I've always started by sawing up the floor for the base plate. It simplifies things when you want to change the flooring in one of the rooms.
But I'm just a happy amateur myself, so I don't have a definitive answer to give you. Feel free to further develop your own ideas about the pros and cons.

I'll start by putting up the wall first. The downside, as I see it, of doing that is if, against all odds, I might want to tear down the wall at some point. I'll make sure to cut the tiles so that it will be easy to fill in the gap that will occur in the event of a demolition.
As for what constitutes a technically correct construction execution, I have no idea.

You can lay the tiles first if you want and then glue the floor track to the tiles with something like PL800 later. Then, if you ever want to tear down the wall, you can also remove the floor track without leaving holes in the tiles. However, it's a hell of a job to get the track off and then remove the glue, but it can be done.
If there is a thought of maybe wanting to tear down the wall, I would have also laid the tiles first and then used double-sided tape (it holds more than you think). If I then want additional fastening, I would have put screws in the grout and the day I want to tear down the wall, I only need to fill in a bit of grout...
