Hello, I first posted this question in Flooring, but realize it might fit better here.
We are renovating the apartment. The project has just begun. There will be a new kitchen and new flooring in the hall and kitchen.
To the possibility/problem. After tearing up the old laminate floor and old carpet, we found that the concrete floor is anything but even.
The unevenness is partly due to old lumppapp that is stuck with tar, which we plan to remove by renting a floor stripper.
Probably some tar will remain, but we hope to get most of it off.
How should we now proceed with the bare concrete floor?
There is a difference of about 2-3 cm between the highest and lowest points.
I assume that self-leveling compound is needed.
So the question is, what type of compound should we use?
What is the procedure to get the floor level?
Best regards, // Martin
