Hey!
I've been searching like crazy both here and online without success!
Is there anyone here who has built with Weber's new Leca isoblock 2.0?
I've been sitting and reading a bit, and they almost seem too good to be true! The 300mm blocks have the same U-value as, for example, Ytong's 400mm blocks. Plus, corner blocks that eliminate insulation gaps.. And internal walls with good sound reduction even with really thin walls, so as I see it, you don't need walls thicker than 95mm to achieve a good indoor climate.
I'm sold, unfortunately, the price is probably the missing link!
But as I said, anyone who has experience with these blocks?

Looks like Finja's exaktblock. I'm currently in the process of building a tank using that type of block.
I've had the exaktblock demonstrated to me at a home fair and they seem very easy to build with. I think Lecas would be the equivalent.

Yes, finja has more or less the same method
however, I don't think their insulation ever touches each other, leaving a bit of air in between? Plus, leca has a better u-value!
But what I've mainly focused on is that the inner walls are hollow, which should make cable routing significantly easier

My thoughts are turning towards building interior walls with wood or steel studs.
Any particular reason why you want to build interior walls in stone?

Did you get a price for the Leca blocks?
Haven't checked the price. Still trying to find someone who has built with this but it seems to be quite difficult!
It's a shame, I think. As I've mentioned, the advantages seem to be many.
Exterior walls with 15mm plaster on each side have a U-value of 0.187, none of the other manufacturers seem to even come close to that in such "thin" walls. That's with their 300mm blocks. The equivalent Ytong is 365mm.
Interior walls of 95mm blocks with 10mm plaster on each side have a sound reduction of 43db. Compared to something like H+H, you would need their 200mm's multi-plate with plaster to achieve the same result.
But I'll keep searching... I have plenty of time on my hands

Jarslgård, how did it go? Did you use Weber?
Wood is easier after all!
I can honestly say that I don't rememberJ jonte0 said:
The thoughts now, if we are going to build, are rather for a fully bricked house, i.e., both the back wall and facing wall in brick
